WHO ARE WE?
Tumaini Media is a Catholic communication institution with media outlets namely Radio Tumaini, Tumaini Television and a weekly newspaper called TUMAINI LETU. It is not a faith-based media institution though it is owned by the Catholic Church. That’s why it is engaged in disseminating not only religious but also socio-political news and information.
Tumaini Radio
Radio Tumaini is a Community Radio with an estimated audience of around 10 million people accessed in Frequencies 96.5 in Dar Es Salaam, 91.9 and 98.1 in other regions Coverage areas are Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Pwani, Bagamoyo, Morogoro, Dodoma, Tanga, some parts of Kilimanjaro, Arusha, Moshi, Iringa, Mtwara and Singida Also, the radio can be accessed worldwide via Satellite by visiting Tumaini Media’s official website: www.tumainimedia.co.tz
Tumaini Letu newspaper
This is a city catholic newspaper that is circulated in 120 Dar Es Salaam Catholic Parishes; 10,000 copies are printed weekly for distribution, with permission and support from the Archbishop of Dar es Salaam currently Tumaini media is in the process of implementing a circulation strategy that will ensure more than 5,000 small Christian communities get at least 5 newspaper copies each pushing weekly printing volume to more than 20,000 copies.
